Our Story

We first connected years ago in the fast-paced corporate world — Alex, deep in high-volume payroll and HR for large organisations, Izabela, managing complex accounts and financial systems. We quickly bonded over the same recurring frustration we saw every day: small business owners were being left to struggle alone with the exact same paperwork, compliance headaches, and admin overload that big companies had entire teams to handle.

We’d watch owners lose evenings and weekends to spreadsheets, chase missing receipts, panic over payroll deadlines, and feel guilty for not giving their customers or family enough time. It broke our hearts. We knew there had to be a better way — one that felt human, personal, and genuinely supportive rather than cold and corporate.

So in 2024 we made the leap. We walked away from the big-company pay cheques and rigid structures to build something completely different: Griffiths Small Business Services. Today we work side-by-side from our home office, just the two of us, helping small business owners across the UK feel truly looked after. Every payslip we process, every VAT return we submit, every inbox we organise… we treat it like it’s our own business. Because in many ways, it is.

She manages full bookkeeping, bank and credit card reconciliations, VAT returns and Making Tax Digital compliance, credit control, cash flow reports, and seamless Sage/QuickBooks setup.
